Creature Features - Tell Me Why

In this Custom Set, students explore pictures of animals with particular physical features, and talk about the purpose and function of these features.

The animals are presented in small groups, and the pictures focus on the following features – claws, teeth/beaks, tails, webbed feet and fur/feathers. Children are asked to consider why some animals have these features and how they are used. On each activity page, read the question and record a response by clicking on the microphone button. Each activity page links to a word bank so students may record a written response if they wish. Their recordings are transferred to the speech bubble button on the writing grid for reference.
