Homophone Sentences

In this Connect Set, students learn to recognize pairs of words with the same sounds but different meanings and spellings. After matching the pairs of words, they then use them in the context of sentences to demonstrate their understanding of the differing meanings.

On the first grid, match each word from the group on the left with the word which it sounds like from the group in the right – its homophone. On the next grids, use the starters, middles, and endings to create sentences. On each of these grids, create two sentences, selecting the correct homophone to match the meaning of the sentence.
