Talk About Changing Shape

Screenshot from Talk About Changing Shape

In this Talk About activity, pupils talk about how the shapes of solid objects made from a range of materials can be changed by squashing, bending, twisting and stretching. They record information about a series of pictures which also appear in the Clicker Book "Changing Shape – Read a book".

They can talk about how some objects change shape permanently, and some return to their original shape (depending on the flexibility of the materials from which they are made). On the start page, click on each picture to open the recording page. Record using the microphone button and listen to the recordings on the start page.

For further follow-up sets, search for changing shape on LearningGrids. For other related sets, search for materials.
