Listen and Segment - Group 6

This Listen and Say activity enables children to practise oral segmenting of sounds in spoken words. They do this by hearing a word and segmenting it into its constituent phonemes. This set focuses on the phonemes: y, x, ch, sh, th (as well as cumulative phonemes/graphemes from earlier groups).

On each page, click on the picture to listen to a whole word and then record the sounds that make that word. Listen to the recordings on the start page. This activity uses real speech so that children have a clear spoken model and can compare their recordings.
