I Like - Sentence Patterns

With this Connect Set, children write simple first-person statements using the structure 'I like' (plus a noun). The repetition is designed to help children learn the elements of sentence construction. Once consolidated, they can use the structure as a model for writing their own sentences about what they like.

On each grid, look at the picture and select the starter 'I like'. Then choose from the cluster of nouns to create the text.
