Gruffalo Similes

With this Connect Set, children write a description of a gruffalo using different similes. The character is from the book "The Gruffalo" by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. Children could also use the set to describe their own imaginary monster.

Select from clusters of words to create the description under the following headings: Eyes, Claws, Tongue, Breath and Roar.

See the Word Bank "The Gruffalo Description" for vocabulary to support a written description of the Gruffalo. For additional Clicker resources related to the story, search for Gruffalo on LearningGrids.
