Exercise and Pulse Rates

Screenshot from Exercise and Pulse Rates

In this Talk About activity, pupils record the probable effect of a range of activities on a person’s pulse rate. The activity can be used to record predictions and outcomes for a practical session in which pupils measure their pulse rates following exercise.

On the start page, click on each picture to open a recording page. Record using the microphone button and listen to the recordings on the start page.

For other sets on this topic search for humans on LearningGrids. To write an outline of an investigation in which pupils find out how different activities affect their pulse rate, see the set “Pulse Rate Investigation.” For additional writing support see the Circulatory System word bank sets.
