Great Fire of London - Then and Now

Screenshot from Great Fire of London - Then and Now

This is a Custom Set for sorting pictures of artefacts associated with London at the time of the Great Fire (1666), and their present day equivalents. Some objects will be more familiar than others and children can decide which they think are from the past (Then) and which are the modern (Now) versions.

On the activity pages, click on the empty cells and choose the object belonging to Then or Now. On the first pages, children sort the objects in pairs so that they focus on just two pictures at a time. On the final page, they sort all twenty objects into the two categories.

Children can read about the fire in the Clicker Book "Great Fire of London – Read a Book". For further follow-up sets, search for Fire of London on LearningGrids.
