Building a Community

With this Clicker Board Set, pupils consider what they "must have", "would like to have" and "do not need" when building a new town, and create spider diagrams to express their opinions.

On each board, pupils select and eliminate the services and amenities to show: which are essential for the community; which they would like to have if they could afford them; and which they could live without. Click on cells and drag one of their round handles to link them to the title cell. Eliminate the unwanted cells by clicking on them and then on the trash icon. Pupils can then record information for each category, giving reasons for their choices, or create a word bank from their spider diagrams to support written work.
