Food and Parts of Plants - Make the Link

This Custom Set is a picture association activity designed to develop an understanding that food can come from different parts of a plant. In the activity, children link pictures of plant food items to the parts of plants from which they come – leaves, fruits, seeds, roots or stems. Their choices are summarised on the final page, enabling you to assess performance.

On each page, click on the empty cell to open a pop-up, and choose from the five plant parts to match the food item, according to part of a plant from which it comes.

Pupils can read and learn about parts of plants used for food in the Custom Set "Parts of Plants We Eat". For other Clicker resources on this topic, search for food plants on LearningGrids. For other sets on related topics, search for food or plants.
