Compound Word Sums

In this Connect Set, students create a number of compound words by joining two smaller words together, for example "sun" + "flower" = "sunflower".

On the first grid, choose one word from the group on the left, followed by +, then choose a word from the group on the right which can be added to the first word to create a new compound word, e.g. "hand" + "bag". Then send the equals sign and move to the second grid. On the second grid, find the compound word that has been created by adding the two smaller words together, e.g. "handbag".
