Vertebrate Groups - Sorting

This is a Custom Set for sorting animals into vertebrate groups – fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals.

Within the set, there are two differentiated activities. In Sorting One, children sort six animals on each page – one for each group. All their answers are transferred to a final page for discussion or teacher assessment. In Sorting Two, children sort all the animals on one page. Introduce the activity by clicking on each vertebrate group on the start page to outline the main characteristics of each group and show picture examples.
