This Connect Set enables students to write about vehicles from the past and present day.

On each grid, a vehicle from the past and its modern-day equivalent are pictured. Students use the sentence starter "This is", choose from the adjectives "modern" or "old-fashioned", and finish with a noun (the name of the vehicle) to write about each type of transport.

For other resources related to this topic, search for transport on LearningGrids. Children can read about the featured vehicles in the Clicker Book "Transport Then and Now – Read a Book".
