    Food Counting

    In this Listen and Say activity, children listen to, and then record number phrases. The set includes a series of food pictures and covers the numbers one to five.

    On the start page, click on each picture to hear the phrase. On each activity page, click on the picture to listen, and then use the microphone button to record. Listen to all the recordings on the start page.

    You may wish to adjust the speed of Clicker 7’s voice. To do so, open the “Options” ribbon tab, click “Preferences” and open the “Speech” tab.

    In this Matching Set, children choose food pictures in response to number phrases such as “five apples”. The set covers the numbers one to five.

    On each page, click on the speaker to listen to the phrase and then choose the matching picture. The activity is designed so that children achieve success, as they can continue to try until they find the correct match.

    This Custom Set is a matching activity in which children count pieces of food and choose the relevant number. The set covers the numbers one to five.

    On each page, count the food in the picture. Click on the empty cell to open a pop-up and choose the matching number. You can also listen by clicking on the picture. The choices are summarised on the final page.

  7. Connect Set

    My Meals

    This Connect Set enables children to write about the food and drink they would like or have had for their meals during the day. They are given support to write about their breakfast, lunch and dinner meals, as well as drinks and treats.

    The grids offer a writing frame with simple openers to get the writing started, and tabs for words to write about the components that make up each meal. Picture support in the cells that contain nouns provides additional reinforcement for early writers.
