  1. Connect Set

    My Meals

This Connect Set enables children to write about the food and drink they would like or have had for their meals during the day. They are given support to write about their breakfast, lunch and dinner meals, as well as drinks and treats.

The grids offer a writing frame with simple openers to get the writing started, and tabs for words to write about the components that make up each meal. Picture support in the cells that contain nouns provides additional reinforcement for early writers.

Children can create their own book about the food they eat at different mealtimes using the Clicker Book "My Meals – Make a Book". For other Clicker resources on this topic, search for food or healthy eating on LearningGrids.
